Location: Oak Park River Forest Food Pantry Community
Are YOU ready for a Challenge?
Can Do Community Challenge is a local hunger relief campaign sponsored by Oak Park River Forest Food Pantry.
March 1st - April 30th
Inspired by the Feinstein Challenge*, Can Do Community Challenge is designed to raise awareness about hunger and encourage schools, organizations, congregations and individuals to become more involved with the Food Pantry by holding a Spring food drive or by making a donation.
A Challenge Corp (local group of philanthropists) has challenged the Food Pantry to collect 100,000 in monetary and goods donations. This provides an incentive to donate by increasing the impact of donations. If we reach our 100,000 goal, the Challenge Corp will donate an additional $25,000 to Oak Park River Forest Food Pantry.
Help raise awareness about hunger in our community by donating monetary and goods donations between March 1st and April 30th.

Saturday, June 13th, 2015
Location: The Economy Shop
103 S. Grove, Oak Park IL
The Economy Shop isn’t your everyday thrift store. They are an event…with 15 departments…spanning 3 floors…loaded with eco-friendly, vintage and brand new treasures.
Since 1919, local volunteers have sorted, shelved and sold a variety of donated merchandise at The Economy Shop for the benefit of local charities. Each charity provides volunteers for a given department at The Economy Shop on Sale Days. Oak Park River Forest Food Pantry has been selected to be one of the lucky beneficiaries! That means the Food Pantry will receive a portion of The Economy Shops sales proceeds in exchange of providing volunteers. The Food Pantry’s department is Men’s Casual Wear, but all the charities split the proceeds from the entire store. So shop all over!
